Getting started at NCEASWithin your first week (or even before you arrive!), you should plan to meet with Thomas Hetmank to get you established with appropriate accounts for receiving email, operating on our servers, accessing file-sharing solutions, and whatnot. You should also plan to meet with Julien Brun, who will help get you up to speed on all your NCEAS computing analysis needs.
The computing team also maintains a wiki page with tons of resources and answers to common questions/problems: https://help.nceas.ucsb.edu/. If you can't find what you're looking for feel free to ask the computing team, the ECRs or email [email protected] |
